Caravans Tabbert

The German Alfred Tabbert learned to be a body builder and in 1934 he opened a small workshop in Schweinfurt (Germany). After his workshop was destroyed in 1943, during the war, he reopens the doors and dedicates himself exclusively to the manufacture of platform trucks together with 80 employees. In 1953 the first caravan manufactured by Tabbert came to light and only 2 years later it began to be mass-produced. By 1973, the "Tabbert Wohnwagen GmbH" had already manufactured 25,000 caravans. In 1997 it became part of Knaus AG. In 2013 they celebrate their 60th anniversary, having surpassed the number of 300,000 caravans produced.
