Hymer presents the first smart ecosystem for motorhomes

Hymer presented a few days ago his idea of the smart motorhome, something that has been making unstoppable progress in our homes for some time now, is also making an appearance in our motorhomes thanks to Hymer.

And of course, the star of the presentation was their new mobile app, the Hymer Connect app that aims to turn your motorhome into a brand new smart motorhome. You'll have access to a lot of information about your AC, such as kilometres, battery status and fuel tanks, and not only that, you'll also be able to send orders! Turn on the motorhome heating from the ski slopes so that when you arrive the temperature is perfect, or heat the water so that taking a shower is the best experience. Have you forgotten the lights on? Turn off all the lights from the town you've visited or from the bed so that you stay warm.

Hymer wants above all for it to be not only practical but also easy to use, Hymer boss Christian Bauer speaks of a "solution for the networked motorhome of the future".

Following the example of other systems already fully implemented, such as the Philips Hue bulbs, Hymer also adds very practical solutions in its app, such as scenes, which are scenarios for activities that are repeated regularly to save us work and avoid having to repeat the same shower temperature and the same heating every time we arrive at the motorhome in winter. This for example could be our "snow" scene, which after being configured to our liking, every time we activate it could for example activate the heating at 28º, turn on the lights at half intensity and activate the hot water in the shower.
